I have hit a wall in my routine full time working grove and the only thing I wanted to do to cure this monotonous feeling was to get creative and style. For a while now I've been toying with the idea of a shoot inspired by the iconic Brigitte Bardot. She embodies a strong sense of femininity and always holds a certain curiosity in her eyes. With winter coming I thought I'd get a team together, test out my styling skills and see where our imagination would take us.

Off we went creating our interpretation of a Brigitte Bardot holiday, although Hyde park is no St Tropez.

With the weather more than perfect, clothing pretty damn divine and a team of crazy creatives, there was nothing holding us back from getting a good shot in the short 2hrs we had to shoot it. Although, that feeling of uncertainty still lingered around for a few days until a new email popped up in my mail titled "Final Editorial" This was the moment and I'm so pleased with it!

This has to be my favourite part about having a blog. It's my own safe space where I can post up things I have created along with my crazy style and ranting words - kind of like being in preschool.

I can't thank everyone who took a part in this shoot enough, Nusardel, Rochelle, Kevin, Belle, Liana and even the ice cream man who agreed to stop for a while so we could get our shot. Thanks for lending your time and talents - they've well and truly paid off! To Mossman clothing, Hype DC, Wayne Cooper, Bettina Liano and Zipporra, thanks for having such great pieces for me to work with!

Ripe orange.

Wearing: Cue knit, Vintage dress from Sportsgirl, Sportsgirl skirt, boots, clutch and necklace, Diva necklace and Prada sunglasses.

One of my favourite things to buy is clothing that can be worn in more ways than one. Now I'm not talking about crazy designs where you put your thing down, flip it and reverse it... (excuse my Miss Elliot reference, the girls I work with are a lot more ghetto than you think) - I'm thinking along simpler lines where you can merely open up a buttoned dress and wear it as outerwear or take a scarf and drape it like a skirt. Never underestimate what you can create without getting out the scissors and sewing machine which can (as I've learn't) do more harm than good.

P.s Putting this outfit together I felt really on the money, I felt chic. But looking at these photos now I feel more orangutan than anything else. haha #Manrepelling #win But hey? being an Orangutan can be cool, I guess it hasn't stopped me from posting these. Enjoy.

Spots, stripes and glitter.

Striped toes worn with Zanita x Funkis clogs and Sass and Bide pants.

You may get them foiled, painted, shellac'd, gelled, glued, or worn with a clear gloss coating, nails have their own way of showing their spots and stripes (and have for centuries now - check out The History of Nail Art) or rather we now can extend our style from head to toe nails and finger tips.

Above are the stripes I decided to sport when I got my mani-pedi last week. With burgundy sparkly shellac'd nails on my fingertips, I opted for some burgundy toes with white stripes through it. I'm glad they actually look good because the usual nail design board the ladies give you mostly look - el-tacky-ti-no aka tacky. Not sure what I'll get next, but these runway mani's are a sure start for nail art inspiration. Nails never looked so good!

If your looking to get creative and nail savvy, Refinery29 have some really great DIY nail art slide shows and videos, I've done the marbling one and although the sticky tape, water and nail polish-dropping can be a little bit fiddly if you've got a spare 40minutes or so, do it!

Embellished armour and battle wounds.

With the crazy embellishment on this jacket it was the perfect way to add some va-va-voom to finish off this rather simple outfit. As a signature feature of any statement Sass and Bide piece, this OTT embellishment with colourful embroidery and red and gold beading was, believe it or not, one of the least OTT jackets they had in store. I was careful to purchase something that was timeless and this surely is. I mean, it is just a black jacket with a few ~~minor~~ major details. I've only had it for a while now, but I envision it standing the test of time and accompanying me on many special events, job interviews and even possibly this years Fashion Week - that's if I can score myself some accreditation. Let's hope for the best hey?

I think the best part about having special pieces like this in your wardrobe is that they'll never fail to make you feel like a rockstar - especially with the amount of double-takes you get when you stroll past! Although that does have it's downfall - Note to self: NEVER wear shoes you that you may stack it in if wearing this jacket; flying under the radar is quite impossible.

Note to self no.2: Never wake up after having 2 panadine forte's and decide to longboard down a steep hill just because you thought the weather was too good to waste. This may lead to flying off your board, scraping your skin and ripping your clothing - never a good look.

Out of all the colours of the rainbow, I choose you pastels and metallics

I'm not sure what has come over me these past few weeks, but I've slowly decreased my memory space on my mac and have cultivated a stash of images with nothing but pastels and metallics. It only seemed fitting that I share this with you before my mac goes koo-koo and gives me the rainbow-wheel-of-death - you know the one!

Now when I look at my wardrobe I don't see any pastel brights, I just see BRIGHTS. What can I say? I ~~was~~ am addicted to colour. With our summer cut short and barely a summer at all, I refuse to pack my summer colours away. For a winter wardrobe update I'm thinking: A white blazer, pastel yellow leather vest (Acne, I mean you!), warm pastel green jumper (again Acne, but I wish I could afford you) and metallic accessories. I plan to team them up with crisp whites and a few rich winter colours like burgundy and teal. Seems like a lot of colour, can't wait to experiment a see what I can come up with - taking heaps of notes from The Man Repeller - she is the king of winter layering!

ooomm bop - Shopbop!

On the rare occasions that I shop online my first online-store preference is Shopbop because whats not to love about free international shipping on orders over $100? Plus you get your goodies guaranteed within 3 days - now that is impressive huh! What I love most about Shopbop is that there is always consistent editorial-like photos on their home page, this one is called - Workwear for the Launch of their new Workwear Boutique.

By now you should know I'm no master of minimalism but I do love my workwear looks. I think it's great Shopbop goes that extra mile to inspire every shopbop-er with the styling of these editorials and the links to shop those particular looks or pieces. Shopbop have basically done the work for you! They show you how to achieve a look and what pieces to achieve that look with, in their edited selection of pieces in their various boutiques i.e Workwear boutique. Now isn't that nifty?

The Australia Hybrid

While deleting a bunch of boring subscription emails last night, one that caught my eye was titled "Free flight to NYC" from StyleMeRomy.com. Within an instant I clicked to check it out, only to realise it wasn't what I thought it was, it was actually something a lot better - the finalists of the Australian's in New York fashion foundation. This is where my eyes discovered true love in the form of Natalia Grzybowski's designs. My oh my oh my do we have some talent here! She gets me excited. The modern design of the structured yet soft silhouettes, crisp white colouring and that all important print-on-print which we all know I love.

'Hybrid' is a conceptual collection that combines elements of nature and technology in order to re-define our current visual interpretation of the female cyber-organism. Through the combination of natural, synthetic and technological elements the female body takes on a hybrid form: part human, part botanic. Opposing elements are united: simple, minimal silhouettes are combined with extreme and chaotic textile designs; historic botanicals are re-designed and technologically enhanced, and unconventional synthetic textiles are contrasted against natural. Each textile design has strategically designed and engineered for the body to eliminate textile wastage whilst creating a stunning visual effect. Each piece is an art form within itself, complementing, without overtly sexualising the female form, using shapes that are simultaneously structured yet soft, mimicking the form of a flower.

MINKPINK goes global!

Last week it was such a pleasure to join Minkpink along with a stylish bunch of Sydney-based bloggers to celebrate MINKPINK's global expansion. The tea party was filled with all the classics: cupcakes, timtams, lamingtons, scones and perfectly made fairy bread. It was great to meet the lovely Minkpink team who's excitement soon spread when they revealed the campaign video which you can watch here. Overall, I can't wait for the new season! They really have some great pieces that can easily elevate an outfit i.e the blue faux fur - yum yum yum. Whether you wear Minkpink top-to-toe or mix it in with a few other staples, I guarantee you will be b-a-n-g-i-n' ! And now wherever you live, you too can have a little Minkpink in your life. Red leather, yellow leather

...Red leather, yellow leather. Tricky isn't it? Neither colour actually. I was so over the moon when Karen who is the owner and designer for Zipporra took me to the NSW leather shop a few months ago to make me a leather bodice as a 'thank you' for styling her SS 11/12 campaign. From all the colours under the sun to choose from, I fell in love with this beautiful tangerine-orange leather. It's perfectly made and although I can't get in or out of the bodice without assistance (thanks bro) it honestly fits me like a glove!

If you too work in Pitt St, or have read this post my blog you may recognise Monica's unmissable ~~fro~~ style. That day she channelled a minimal cool wearing Dion Lee x Cue jumpsuit/pants teamed with a sportsgirl Tee and our latest statement Jewellery.

Monica is quite the creative type and ALWAYS impresses me with her DIY skills on jewellery.

Here we have Maddi, one inspired by one of Australia's 'IT' girls - Bing, aka Lara Bingle.

One of my favourite things to do at work is style our staff when they book appointments with us at our Style Me Studio. It's the best feeling when they really love the looks you've prepared for them and even wear them the next day. Kaci, who is our in-store Visual Merchandiser booked with Monica the previous day and wore this banging' outfit the next. Le Freak C'est Chic indeed!

....so is this girl, Zara! That day she was inspired by Alexander Wang - the king of minimalism chic and what a perfect fit for the queen of minimalism herself. I've never seen someone pull off an all-black look the way Zara does it. It's so mysteriously cool. Za, pls fill me in on your secret!

Dolli, is rocking this pattern-on-pattern look. Her style always has an edge to it which I love! She's like a hybrid of bohemian-luxe-nicole-richie meets Aygness Deyn? Hmmm not sure if that's spot on, but you kind of get the idea right?

Emily is such a dream to work with, and always lives up to her stylish reputation sporting a good 5'inches every day at work. I really don't know how she does it - there's only so much one can take. If I could, I would but with the doctors recommendation not to wear heels I'm steering clear of that for a while.

What a babe.

She is banging and she's the mother of this adorable boy whom I know will probably grow up with natural swag along side his new cousin, Blue Ivy.

With all this news about the newest hollywood baby, little miss Blue Ivy Carter who would of thought I'd be blogging about ~~Beyonce~~ Solange Knowles. After reading this months issue of Oyster, I was reaquainted with the african-american beauty. And as you do, I followed her on twitter and checked out her blog titled My Damn Blog. Warning: you will be addicted. Like most tumblr's her's has that compulsive-clicking effect. It's got the qualities of a great tumblr: interesting photos, simple captions, and the inside into her fantastical life (nothing overly reblogged and blogged again - although what the hell am I doing? haha) I'm pretty jealous she can pull off those Prada sunglasses and her personal style is impressive. ... the technicolour dream coat

I've been waiting for this poncho to come in for a few weeks now. So as soon as I saw this sitting on the rail in last week's new delivery my initial thought was, well done sportsgirl! It's colour-blocked craziness is done in just the right proportion and it's one-size-fits-all approach (which I usually have a huge problem with) drapes wonderfully on my 5ft-smurf-stature - no pinning, double sticky taping or hemming required - take note fellow smurfs this is a keeper!

Bouncing around the floor at work I felt like Joseph in this amazing technicolour dream ~~coat~~ poncho, being the envy of customers and staff asking me where I got this beautiful piece. If I had a dollar for every customer who asked me if it was vintage, I'd have $3. But if I had a dollar for every time a staff member would ask me where I got it not even realising it was from our store, I'd have $5. #rich That's a total of $8. #hustling.

P.s It's not the ground that I'm starring at it's those pieces of evil on my feet. I'm hanging up my clogs for now, and giving high heels a rest. According to the doctor I should buy shoes from Peter Sheppard shoes (waaah) and refrain from anything higher than 5cm. (double waaah) I'm going to be a smurf forever.

2012, the world is not over!

Last year (haha ok, yes I mean last week) we had a day at work where we had to dress the way we wanted to feel in the new year. This is what I wore: my white and blue singlets from supre (one was only $4 #winning), these ever-so-colourful sass and bide pants and my little sister's shubar heels. Yes, I may already wear a copious amount of colour - and you know how much I like my colour - but for me 2012 is all about always dressing to feel alive, vibrant and confident. For me, it's about wearing things that make me feel good about myself. But if you want to delve into my dressing in a more 'philosophical' way, like some of the girls at work did, you could say that in 2012 I'm going to let my true colours shine. Now I just might! Sing it: "this little light of mine... I'm gonna let it shine, let it shine, shine, shine, shine, shine..." [End musical break out]

Yep, I'll admit it, I'm a musical-theatre buff and gleek at heart. Just as a side note I may have died just a little when Cory Monteith made an appearance at Pitt St on this same day. See letting my true colours shine, see that?

Besides being a gleek, I've also fallen head over heels with Prada recently. Aren't they beautiful? Treated myself this christmas. A small attempt to make up for not being able to join my family in europe. Although I don't think anything (material) will really make up for a picturesque Paris winter, contiki tour or seeing my dad aka 'the king of the mo', shave it all off in Milan. #priceless.

This year will be definitely filled with surprises and I can't wait!

Flicking through many magazines, blog posts and tumblr's over the past year I've grown a slight obsession with visors and sportswear. So for this shoot I was inspired by exactly that. Although Shubar shoes isn't exactly 'sportswear' I decided to incorporate more tom-boy styling - this was the original plan and was still somewhat executed given the dramatic change of circumstances on the day. Silly me forgot a garment bag at home. And we weren't in the easiest location for me to just drive back home, so like a chameleon I adapted to the situation and worked with what I had although I still wanted to kick myself for leaving such an necessary thing behind - never again!

Over the past year I've had some great opportunities to work creatively and expand my styling portfolio. Hopefully 2012 will continue this and bring me even greater opportunities.

Be fearless and seize the day.

Styling Shubar shoes

Last month I styled a photoshoot for HYPE DC's in-house brand Shubar pulling all the strings I could to make it all happen. I used clothes from emerging labels Aung and Zipporra and even managed to pull some pieces from Helena Pierce who kindly let me borrow her pieces only a few days before her final TAFE show for the year. Jewellery was a mixture of my own pieces and the ever so beautiful pieces from ILLARIY in 100 squared Pitt st. Before I reveal the final photos of the Shubar photoshoot, I'd like to transport you back behind the scenes.

Many thanks to Mark from HYPE DC, Cai photography, Alexander Leeway (videographer), Shannon Lawson (Platform model management), Belle Pagano makeup, and my lovely styling assistant Selin Abali. Everyone did such a fantastic job & made the semi-manic day a whole lot of fun!

I may have been a little M.I.A this december but I'm back and now shooting with my dad's Nikon D90.

Hope everyone has had an amazing Christmas weekend celebrating with friends and family, food and christmas presents. I may have died from stuffing myself silly with christmas prawns, pavlova, brandy custard, Ferrero rocher's, and a little wine but I'm just bracing myself for the day-after-boxing-day-sale crowds at work tomorrow.

A lot of things have changed since I last blogged including the expansion of my wardrobe - working in the city is dangerous! With so many stores at my finger tips and a lengthy 1hr break every day it's become so. hard. to. save!! I know my sisters will read this and show my dad, but Dad 2012 is coming and it's on my top 5 things to improve on next year so be proud Pa.

More shoes than Imelda Marcos

Seeing my family off to Europe for this festive season is hard in itself, but seeing that my sister will have european fashion (and my mum & her wallet) at her fingertips, it's even harder. Now it's only fair that I too scour the internet to create my very own European wish list. Yesterday it was a very short list with only 6 of my very-merry-must-have items including the Hermes Collier de Chien cuff in silver (although that's more of a dream) ha. Today, I've been flicking through topshop, and WOW-hold-your-breath they have a bunch of babe-in' shoes! Glitter, flatforms, colour, metallic. You name it, they've got it.

Above are a few of my favourites, and then there are the Ashely front lace sandal and the Miista brielle lace wedge that I'm kind of sitting on the fence with. Do I love em? or hate em? The Ashley's had me at the lace sandal but lost me with all that excess stud detail and I am usually the first one to vouch for that more-is-more approach. Now with the Miista it's like a hybrid of a shoe, they couldn't decide between a clog and a wedge so they merged the two - best of both worlds? I'm not so sure.

What do you think? Love it? Hate it?

Baby, it's cold outside

...and apparently it's Summer. Not really sure what happened between the week when it was sweltering hot and I was sticking to the train, to now when it's partly sunny, cloudy, rainy and cold all in one day. It's crazy talk.

Wearing French connection hat, Dion Lee x Cue jacket, Silk top my Dad got me from NZ, Zara pants, vintage belt, Shubar shoes and Prada sunglasses.

Wearing this outfit a few days ago, running around town to get returns done was probably not the best idea (not when there's 60km winds). I may have looked like a try-hard Mary Poppins chasing the wind, but I was not prepared to loose my hat I've only had for a week. I guess i'll just leave you with these photos of the flowers from my front yard and a close up of the little leopard's in my life - they're the only things that didn't try fly off me that day.

When you work alongside someone as creative and stylish as Monica, you can't help but be influenced and really want elevate your style. Bring you A game, you know what I mean? I've brought mine but without the essential blogger tools-of-the-trade aka a tripod, my blog has been pretty outfit-post non-existent so I'm looking to fix this ~~minor~~ issue by lets say... tomorrow? Let's hope the weather brings it's A-game too. It's summer now (apparently) but all it's given us is rain, cold weather and even snow --- so random.

ZIPPORRA SS launch party

Zipporra may not have shown at this yr's RAFW but they did one hell of a showing last friday at Skittle Lane.

Everyone meet Chris. The man behind ASOF: A Series of Fortunate events. He organised, brainstormed and put together the event for Zipporra and what an amazing job he did! I may have been frazzled coming straight from work to help out and style the models, but he was one cool, calm and well collection guy through it all! I was impressed.

Donning metallic and being the munchkins that we are.

With the ironlak fumes that quickly replaced oxygen, skittle lane was transformed into a colourful event filled with a bunch of creatives and an overall happy atmosphere. And I'm positive it wasn't just due to the overwhelming-almost-suffocating smell of spray paint, the 5 pieces of the collection that were showcased were amazing. Although this may have been the 100th time I've seen it, that 'wow' factory never seems to dull down. The collection is infectious I tell you!

P.s I loved Liana's outfit. That skirt. Fly me to the moon coz I swear that's where she got it from!

Pink skies and glitter nails.

What do you get when an oversized truck comes through a suburban street? Broken electricity wires and no internet connection. Now what do you think you'd get when you call up your internet provider? Service? No. A internet repairer-man? Nope. Just a solid week without a phone line and internet connection. Dyyyyinggg. But enough about the internet dramas - a new week is ahead!

How cool are these vintage shorts? Vintage hot-spots tend to follow me with each new job that I've had this year. I'm not complaining, but if my bank account had a mouth it sure would be!

I've enjoyed this sunnier weather. My face has enjoyed being bug-eyed all weekend. Bug-eyed-baz they shall call me.

ZIPPORRA SS 11/12

Hand-dyed silk that makes you want to chase the rainbow it came from, pleated leather detailing, darted leather bodice's, hand-made italian lace and a fringe jacket that makes you want to shake it like Shakira. I can't explain how incredibly amazing this collection is in the flesh. The colours are exciting and the leather pieces are out-of-this-world - FYI it's done by hand - insane in the membrane! This collection captures the love, creativity and passion Karen holds for design and it's more than clear that Karen has got great things coming for this emerging Aussie label!

I was over the moon when she got me to collaborate with her on this project and style the photo shoot. Although between you and me, there wasn't much to do, the pieces pretty much speak for themselves. Agreed?

I may have just squealed and ran back to work with a slight kick in my step when I left The Strand with a little Chanel bag filled with a little Prada treasure. These Prada baroque sunglasses are summer-time perfection and I've never wanted the sun to shine as my as now - so I can never take them off my face. Ever. But with this storm hanging around the only appearance they've made is here.

Just when I thought Romance was Born was Australia's craziest label, master's of print and patterns, I stumble across Emma Mulholland on The Grand Social. Wowza! Move over Romance was Born. Your former intern has clearly learnt a lot from you both and created one print-packed, colour-filled, insane collection. Worn together for a definite show stopper moment worthy of a Bill Cunningham snap or simply teamed with basics, these pieces are so wearable! I died, drooled and died again looking through the collection but died even more when I saw the price tag. If only $320 for a mesh top was no big deal. It is. I'll have to save this one for my wish list and keep dreaming.

Thanks MarketHQ for stocking such great product. I'll now be broke for the summer. Thanks, thanks again. But seriously, how dreamy is this lookbook? Has it got you as mesmerised and wanting to splash the cash like me? Feeling a little bit Anna Dello Russo today with my cherry headband. It's only fitting that I wear this headband today because the Melbourne cup was ~~today~~ just a few short days ago. I may have gotten many looks and a few double-takes but my-oh-my this cherry headband has made me, cherrie-ripe. (Yes I realise the things you can think with that phrase, but get yo' mind out the gutter fool).

One day I will rock this look as effortlessly as this 49-year-old. She's classic.

So pretty please with a cherry on top, will you wear some cherries too? Or maybe a watermelon?

It's halloween and I've already got my door bell rung 3 times (by the 1 group of kids) from the time it took me to reach and grab the lollies to opening the door. Their costumes were average and they didn't even say "trick or treat" C'mon kids! The kids made me laugh rather than run for my life and I'm a pretty easy person to scare. But what really makes me scream, shout and jump up and down is when I get exciting news like being asked to style a series of photoshoots for HYPE DC's in-house brand Shubar. I may have been on the train when I read the first email and it may have been 10pm but it didn't stop me from jumping a little in my seat and showing off my pearly whites.

Let me introduce you to my latest shoe obsession in my ever-growing shoe wall - Pai by Shubar shoes. She's sky-high with platform height perfection, comfortable and an amazing fit for my usually hard-to-fit wide feet. Comfort factor I'd rate a 110%, all because when you've got horribly blistered feet your first shoe of choice isn't usually a heel, but I'm ruthless, I did it. Heels it was. I was a good 10cm's taller, and my feet survived! Kudos, Shubar. Kudos!

Channelling my inner Ri-Ri, I was work ready! Ghetto glam was the theme for the day.

Bling, check. Loose harem pants, check. Hip-hop hair, check. Braids were my first preference but just way to hard for me to handle. GHD curls were the only way to get this side-parted, afro-inspired, Rihanna look without getting a perm. And we all know perm's on asian hair don't end well - got to thank my sis for finding this one out!

Many people asked where I got this 'top' from but it's actually a dress. So let's play a quiz!

If you answered: A. you'd be wrong and stupid. Sequins hurt and I would never (again) risk harming myself! Don't underestimate sequins - it's not fun to deal with when you skin is left scarred #SpeakingFromExperience. Now, if your answer was B. You're right! You've probably noticed that there is only so much sequins you can fit in yohhh drop-crotch, baggy-baggy harem pants. And if you answer was C. C'mon people. I'm pocket sized. A smurf, a hobbit. I'm lucky I'm not drowning in this dress.

Ignore the wind in my hair, this is possibly the only decent photo of the outfit. With the shinning sun comes the ruthless wind. Ruthless it was!

33 degrees. What a great way to start the week! With a quarter of my nails painted, good company and perfect weather, this past weekend has really marked the start of summer and inspired this outfit. Watermelon's on a hot summer's day beside the pool, beach towel stripes, and a whole lot of colour!

Summer hasn't shied away from shining full strength, so why should I? It maybe a pretty average attempt at a jumping photo, but I couldn't not post it! Not after looking like a lunatic in the middle of my street from jumping in my little wedges and possibly breaking a sweat (30 degree heat ppl!). My neighbours might think I'm a little kooky, but you get me. These photos aren't for nothing!

What I tell ya? Halloween inspired. Not on purpose but once you put a a tee on that reads "BE AFRAID" in that typical halloween-style font + some orange, there is no doubt that my trip to cost co plus wanting to buy a bunch of orange pumpkins to carve has lead to this halloween inspired outfit. You like? P.s my dad didn't let me buy the pumpkins. He thought it was pretty impulsive of me. Can I get a 'woot woot' for an outfit post? Thanks to my fav. thing at the moment, my main man, Mr daylight-savings I was able to snap some pics after work (well after 7pm) yea yeaaaa! Daylight savings, summer nights and floating in the ocean will have to makeup for the white Christmas I won't be having this year... but who wants one anyway? Who wants Christmas with their family in Paris? Or New Years in Amsterdam? No, not I. -- wow that was painful to type. I may have not been able to snap up an outfit post this week, but I do bring you my polyvore creation based entirely around what I've been loving this week: Vest, simple Tee's and my Zimmermann skirt. On the days that pants just won't do, toughen up that mini skirt with loose fitting tee's in a block colour or pattern and team it with a sleeveless jacket aka Vest. You're almost there, add a touch of glam with modern neck-plates and finish off with boots. Now you're rocking it. Take in from day to night with a different vest, some heels and possibly some Proenza Schouler? That bag is calling my name.

When I was invited by my good friend Ally to see her sister strut her stuff on the runway of the 'Where Couture Meets the Cure' event, I was over the moon! I think I was more excited to see Maddi walk than I was for the actual clothes which featured Australian designers like Alex Perry, Camilla, SABA, Fleur Wood and more. Bar my camera battery saying it was "fully charged" then dying on me half way through the show, the show was perfect. Here is the event captured in a short minute or so. Maddi's the first girl in the video. Is she rocking it or what?

Although I don't really dig Kanye, I am digging the touches of metallic, pearl-like embellishments, zipper detailing and overall semi-tailored feel. Maybe the sole reason for Kanye's 'effortlessly chic' collection lies with the ever-so-effortless, Christine Centenera - fashion editor at Harpers Bazaar Australia as well as Kanye's consultant for his collection. I see Christine in those statement 'bomber' jackets, both slim-fitted and loose-cut pants and of course those strappy heels.

Peek-a-sneak of Miss General

Its no doubt the Colour Blocking trend has exploded in every shop under the sun for this Spring/Summer season. Soon enough every tom, dick, harry and sam will be decked out in colours that one may not usually fathom. But, while the trends hot and everyone is high of its colourful hues we might as well embrace it! I sure am (check out my blue ~~suede shoes~~ 'supa tubes') And Miss General designs aka my good friend Kate Generalao, sure has too, with her new-not-even-launched-yet-laser-cut-Jewellery line that is oh so fresh and exactly what you need to top off that head-to-toe colour blocked outfit.

As her styling consultant for the shoot and during the design process, I was given free reigns to "do whatever" So I opted for Gold Glittered hair, black body suits and dark eyes to compliment the first half of her range. The glittered hair spray was actually courtesy of my 12 22-yr-old brother, remember the one I told you about with all those toys? Well, it was his grand idea to dress up as the Soccer World Cup Trophy and spray himself Gold including his hair for my sister's Viva Espana going-away party. Not too sure why he didn't end up doing it? Bro it was such as smart idea! (I may sound sarcastic, but no, this is definitely one of his brightest ideas he's ever come up with! Kudos bro! Kudos) And thus, I turned to the unused glitter hairspray laying around my house.

Enough about my brother and his glitter hairspray, meet Maddison from Chic Management - the star of the shoot.

She brought her natural beauty and hilarious-ness to the shoot. (yes, I know, hilarious-ness is not a word, but hilarity or humour sounds so ---- boring. Agreed?) With her being like 100 ft tall, equipped with legs that literally went for miles, it didn't help me with my smurf-sized-stature. Don't worry, I'm creative, I found ways around it, i.e under the coat.

She was a pleasure to style and so willing to climb the rocks, balance on the bridge, lay on an old thorny tree, and work, work, work until we got the final frame. Oh and #FunFact: Maddi is actually my Friends little sister and I was so proud to see her doing her thang, working it like a pro both at the shoot and at the 'Where Couture meets Cure' event on wednesday night - I'll post my video up soon! She is definitely destined for big things.

And lets not forget about the lady behind the lens. Christine from Cai Photography snapped away capturing even the best behind-the-scene moments. Although studying criminology at Uni, Photography is definitely one of her passions and forte's. I'm really excited to see the finished product, its all a waiting game now - but never fear, I'll keep posting more exciting things to fill your time. I got cho' back!

Strip it back to white, but keep a touch of neon around the patterned panels - genius!

Finish off with a sheen of metallic and one crazy-amazing neck piece.

It's surprising, and somewhat refreshing from their previously tribal obsessed collection - which was no doubt amazing, but this is just so beyond. I love it.

There is no harm in saying 'I love you' Most people say it more often than others, but not enough people say it to themselves. I say, show yourself a little love and treat yourself to something you've always wanted.

It was love at first sight when I saw this colourful metallic number strut down the runway at my very first RAFW show - Zimmermann. It was like a mouse to cheese, a magnet to the fridge, a young child to it's mother... ok. Stop. Maybe not that far, but it was amazing and even more amazing on. I'll be sure to post an outfit asap esp. with this leg-worthy weather. Goodness 27 degrees and rising. It's T-shirttt tymmm. Hollaaa.

When my sister stormed into my room asking to use my clothes, I had one condition (usually I have about 5 but today I settled for just one) - she had to let me do an outfit post on her. I thought it was a pretty big ask since she A. hates taking my outfit pics and B. hates posing for the cam. But today she was surprisingly willing. So much so, I now have a whole folder of her posing, and posing and re-posing. Got a few cheeky pics to save for her 21st birthday (yea yeaaa!)

By the end of it she went a little crazy and found my Dad's watering bucket in the garden. It went well with her whole 'safari-garden' ensemble that she had going, it soon became her handbag/prop (for picture purposes only). She's ~~interesting~~ cute like that.

After thinking this all week, in preparation for my 2nd interview for that Stylist Job I was telling you about a few posts ago.

I finally got it! WOOOOO! Success baby (yeaaa I thought the below image was pretty appropriate)

After deciding between my part time job at a school + my European white Christmas OR my dream job

I did it, took a leap, cancelled Europe, broke up with my boss (haha quite literally, it was hilarious actually) and now am an official Stylist! Just call me the Sportsgirl Style me Suite Personal Stylist.

When Karen raved about this 'Syringe place' that we desperately needed to go to, we thought she was a little bit kooky. We all replied will a similar "ummm... we're not really into that Karen." haha But on our quest to find this hidden place locals also gave us similar reactions with a raised eye-brow and wide eyes, "Syringe Bar?" When we finally found 'the institue' at the end of, what seemed to be a maze of alley-ways, I couldn't image drinking not drinking without my syringe. Move over World Bar's Tea pots, Syringes are where its at. haha Ok, it may appear that Melbourne has made me more crazy that I normally am. I guess, I'm still high off the amazing experience that was Melbourne. Our Love story.

Graffitied walls, alley-way cafes and eclectic style

Being in a new city such as Melbourne, inspiration is all around. It's embedded in the graffitied walls, in the aroma of alley-way cafes and among the eclectic style of the locals. For the 2nd day of our Melbourne stay I decided on some patterned pants, plain Tee and my golden clogs - inspired by the streets of Melbourne. You like? You like? I like. Not sure if Melbourne liked, I did get a few looks and one "Oh, your not from Melbourne? You can tell... you guys dress different" hmmmm... I thought I looked more Melbourne than I did Sydney. But I loved my outfit, so whatever! Wear what you love, and love what you wear. P.s update on my interview process: 2nd interview tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Should be a lot of fun. The fantasy land of Lady Petrova

I have voiced my love for the Lady Petrova label a few times before, but this time I think I'll share with you my love for their store interior. With the wall decal illustrations, doll houses, lace and overall pastel tones, walking into Lady Petrova feels like a fantasy land. And a little birdie told me that they will be renovating again, taking the already wonderful store to a new level of 'Lady Petrova'. I'm excited and can't wait too see what they'll do to the petite store.

I did leave with this beautiful silk top pictured above. But I was pretty unfortunate when I wore it out for the first time... a thread pulled, and pulled, and pulled. I swear silk hates me, because the night after I wore another one of my melbourne purchases which happened to be a silk dress and it pulled as well. Not sure why, but all my purchases in Melb seemed to be two things: Silk and Colourful. Currently I am wearing the 3rd item of my silk-melbourne-shop-series lol - it hasn't pulled yet, so fingers crossed this is a non-puller haha... I sound like a crazy person talking about pulled silk like its the end of the world or something... (End silk rant here)

Lady Petrova, always coming up with Dreamy ways to display her products. I think it might be something in the Melbourne water because 99.9% of stores we visited has the most interesting interiors, displays and packaging. Buying something when it comes wrapped in pastel coloured paper, or neatly packaged in an every so innovative aluminium take away container similar to that of a Sara Lee frozen carrot cake... but a lot cuter!

Lady Petrova made Turbans cool on Project Runway. I was pretty much obsessed when I saw her sporting one.

Its a dreamy place, something every girl should experience.

Working for Karen and representing Zipporra has been such an amazing adventure, to say the least. And this trip to Melbourne for the Spring Fashion Week was definitely the icing on top of this fun adventure and learning experience. After collaborating with Blow Dry Bar in Sydney once before, Zipporra was privileged to dress the models for the Blow Dry Bar runway show and launch of their new salon in Melbourne. After exploring the streets of Melbourne with Liana and Nat, while Karen (the designer) attended some meetings, our actual work finally came in to style and dress the models. The energy was frantic, the hair was larger than life, the clothes looked amazing and the show was ready to rock and roll. The lovely Rochelle Fox MC'd the night and the very talented young photographer Angus Cramp captured the night behind his lens. After the show, it was party time.

We hit up Cookie and (i don't remember the names) but the levels above it too - it is a popular Melbourne local location recommended by many and it did not disappoint! Being cosily close in the private booths and dimly lit surroundings, it was very ~~romantic~~ harry potter - I thought anyway. For a Wednesday night, Melbourne knows how to party or maybe it was just us and our overly excited-ness and the effects of a few too many sips on the vodka lemon lime bitters?

I've been working on the art of balance...

Yep, that bike was moving. Yep, that's me and my balance. Best thing about having a brother is that he likes to splash his cash on toys like skim boards, skate boards, surf boards, iron-man-face-mask/helmet that speaks, and Remote control cars and helicopters, you know normal 22 yr-old boy stuff. I guess the second best thing is my brother lets me play too! My most recent adventure was learning how to skate board, and after learning the hard way that you do need a helmet and some elbow and palm pads I finally got it. However, this experience didn't deter me from trying this move on the bike without protection. You could say yesterday was the day of courage for me, so today I tried something simpler - the tea pot stance. You like?

As we look forward to warmer days ahead, everything from cherry blossoms to birds to fashion designers are in full bloom! It is only fitting that on these early days of Spring that I introduce you to the work of the very creative designer, Aung. Although being a designer for 10 years now, he has given life to his summer 12 collection titled: Flora Jargon.

Having previously worked for other creative such as Akira and Longina Phillips, amongst his skill set he has harnessed great workmanship and detail. Currently inspired by the rose, his designs capture the beauty and edgy-ness that a rose represents.

I can imagine his prints paired with muted tones, basic tee’s and silver hardware. But at the same time, I imagine them also paired together, print-on-print, pastel + print, print + pastel… the combinations are endless. You can ask Aung how incredibly amazed I was at the sight of his collection. I was literally like a kid in a candy store, touching each and every piece, stroking the soft silk, holding garments up to my body and imagining everything I could wear it with.

His pieces are as fresh as a slice of chilled watermelon on a hot summer’s day. I would put it down to the symmetry, colour, prints and classic cuts, which make for a winning combo – esp. in my wardrobe (you know me, I’m a sucker for colour!)

The leader of the pack, and my favourite piece of the collection. I love that dress.

Summer is just around the corner – and although I won’t be here for a month of it, Aung has got me wishing that the warmer weather would come sooner.

You know your obsessed when you repeatedly go to, look up or research a specific item of clothing online, and you know you are possessed when you find yourself calling all stores in sydney that might stock that one particular item that has you going all gooey-wide-eyed-and-crazy although you know you have to save. This is me currently after last week discovering the ultimate boot sent to my email from ssense.com regarding their 'new arrivals' - damn those email subscriptions! They are the dream boot by 3.1 Phillip Lim, her name is Penny - literally.

....it's night time now. Bed time actually. You all know what I'll be dreaming about tonight...

P.s I know I could have posted just a picture of the boot, but this post does have purpose. As part of self-reassurance that I need these boots (although trying to save for the big dream - Europe) I created just one out of many outfits I could wear with these b-e-a-utiful booties. They are worth it right? Right?

As the weather begins to warm and the spring and summer season comes out to play don't shy away from those metallics. Between all the maintenance that summer brings it can all be a bit overwhelming, but there is one thing that should never scare you (besides boys pink 3/4 board shorts) and that's METALLIC!

Use metallic accessories as your outfit statement piece to top off a neutral-monochromatic look, or team them with some OTT pattern-on-pattern (think Celine) or better yet add some shine to your fiercest colour blocked ensemble - you can't go wrong with a splash of Metallic!

These outfits could do with a good injection of metallic mania.

If your feeling a little more adventurous try a little metallic in your clothing - metallic patterned pants like those Balenciaga's above, linen tee's with a slight metallic/waxed finish, or clothing with metallic trims or panels. Can't wait for the warmer weather... and I still want those white and silver Alexander Wang heels that I posted about here Mmmm.

Photos from a small part of the best weekend I've had in a long time (markets, Partying in the Ivy Pool, no hang over and my other bosses Engagement party) Oh and yes, my rozelle market virginity had been taken and experienced with only the best company - Karen and Dusk. Our free spirits, vibrant energy and love of old treasures made for a beautiful day in Sydney's (finally) warm winter weather!

After we walked around wide eyed and slightly overwhelmed I managed to find a few pieces that were nothing short of amazing; while Karen was magnetically drawn to statement earrings, Dusk was drawn to everything (although vowing not to spend a cent! Clearly, pre-rozelle market mindset). Before we knew it, our hands were full, parking was boarder-line illegal and our tummys yearned for food - literally, it was yeaaarrnin'! We found ourself in the courtyard of what felt like a melbourne style cafe. We sat. We ate. We talked and talked some more.

Wearing boys jeans wasn't something I was planning on doing ever. But upon stumbling on these slouchy pair at G-star I made my brother try them on. They are perfection: the right amount of patchy-ness, colour and slouch. Naturally he got them and naturally as ones sister does, I tried them on. Paired with my Julian Louie x Aldo wedges, glassons tank and vintage fur I think I gave it a touch of femininity. However, I have been told I look like a gorilla in the fur.... questionable... Call me little Red. It seems that in the past month I have been magnetically drawn to the colour red. Red has become my thang and I quite enjoy it paired with the busy pattern on this cropped tee.

Colour my world.

Here's a picture out of the Zipporra lookbook - I'm pretty much obsessed with colour at the moment, pretty obsessed with that mustard colour too. Actually, I think I've always had a thing for colour, especially bright ones (it is true. Check here and here) However, today I awoke like a zombie gravitating immediately to my red pants and cobalt blue top. I toned it down with a fluffy black angora cardigan but toned it back up with its sequined diamond pattern and vintage tan Moschino belt (which I just bought today). Wish I got a photo. Photos are definitely 1000 times more interesting than this right now. I'll have to wear it again just for some pics, just for you guys. Really sorry bout the lack of outfit post. Working 3 jobs is hard, esp. when your a little bit of a perfectionist like me. *hence the lack of posts* I can't just post just anything. ohhhhhh and I've been in a slight state of depression with my Iphone gone... stolen :( Damn pick pocketers! I guess I will continue to wear bright colours to make me feel a little less dull.

After what I'm donning 'Lady Gaga Week' last week here in sydney, I too wanted to feel like a bit of a star. No, I didn't whip out my American apparel V leotard -- it's way to cold here for that nonsense. Instead I popped on this shaggy jacket and immediately felt ~~like a yeti~~ quite lush. I'm a big believer that if you love what your wearing, your day will just be that tad bit better. And it was. Paws up!

Ever noticed the simplicity and beauty in a single chain necklace? Ones that sit oh-so-casually around your neck, placed under a buttoned-up collar or skim just over the top of a singlet but have such a profound effect? Well that's the effect I get when I see hipsters (both boys and girls) walking the streets with their Recreational Boutique jewellery. Before working at 100 Squared I thought these hipsters were so DIY savvy that they made them themselves; attaching quirky little ornaments to a chain - you know it's just something that those hipsters would do. But don't fret if you aren't (like me ) DIY talented because it is the ever-so-talented Emma Swann we need to thank for designing and creating these little treasures.

Wishbones, bullets, spray-can heads, swords, boxing gloves, headphones just a few of her amazing creations. Did I mention she does rings too? Now, those are my favourite! You can pile them on and take the 'more is more' approach and never go wrong with too many Recreational rings. They all seem to fit together like a collage - the more you add, the better it looks! Pile, pile, pile them on.

CUSTOMISED VINTAGE

If my blog had a 'trending' poll #BreeBennettvintage would be the top topic right now. and I've noticed over the the past month or so I've been obsessed/cursed with the vintage bug - particularly her irresistible customised vintage.

So I thought I'd introduce you all to Bree. She is the owner and 'designer' who sources the vintage treasures and reworks most of them into new 'bree bennett' creations. My favourite piece would be the leather/linen top that she did... remember this one? And another favourite that I was absolutely blown away by was the red leather dress that could double as a vest but in it's former life was a super-retro batwing leather jacket, you know the one.

Her creative eye for transforming garments is ridiculous! I love just flicking through each piece and asking what it was in its previous glory. But for the timeless vintage pieces that need no revamp, she stocks them too.
